The Edmonton Oilers (49-27-6 regular season, 28-9-4 home) earned a split on the road in Games 1 and 2 of the Western Conference final against the Dallas Stars (52-21-9 regular season, 26-10-5 away) and now return home aiming to take a 2-1 lead in a pivotal Game 3 in the best-of-seven series.

Monday’s NHL public betting splits show an almost even split on the Game 3 moneyline: Edmonton is currently getting 51% of handle to win Game 3. The public has a much stronger take on the total, with 65% of handle on over 5.5 goals.

But Dallas’ defensive structure is extremely difficult to breakdown and Oettinger represents a far stingier last-line-of-defense than Stuart Skinner in the Edmonton goal.
