Wednesday’s Best NBA Player Prop Bets

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

C.J. McCollum Over 2.5 3-Pointers (-146)

New Orleans’ C.J. McCollum has been on fire from behind the arc lately. He scored 20 points in 31 minutes in a 116-103 win in Atlanta on Sunday, hitting four 3-pointers on seven attempts. He was blanked in Philadelphia in the previous outing on Friday, but in four March games, McCollum has connected for at least three triples in three outings. He is also good for three or more 3-pointers in 12 of the past 15 outings.

The Cavaliers are shorthanded, as Evan Mobley and Max Strus are two starters sidelined due to injury, while defensive pest Dean Wade is away dealing with a personal issue. The Cavaliers might get a bump with Donovan Mitchell upgraded from out to questionable after missing the past seven games, but the Cavs aren’t likely to be very stout defensively. When completely healthy, Cleveland’s 3-pointer defense is just so-so, allowing teams to convert at a 36.3% rate, good for 12th in The Association. With the Cavaliers banged up, McCollum should be able to get plenty of open looks.

Paolo Banchero Over 35.5 Player Points + Rebounds + Assists (-120)

Orlando’s Paulo Banchero is a good bet to hit his threshold of Points + Rebounds + Assists in Wednesday’s contest against the Nets. The Nets are allowing 113.9 points per game, while teams shoot 47.1% from the field against them, both marks good for 15th in the NBA. The Nets also allow teams to cash in at a 38.0% rate from behind the 3-point line.

Banchero should be able to get at least one or two triples against the very giving Nets team. A repeat of his performance back at Barclays Center on Dec. 2 wouldn’t be surprising in the least. He racked up 19 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists across 34 minutes on 6-of-15 shooting. He was 0-for-2 from behind the arc and still had impressive totals. He did most of his damage at the free-throw line, going 7-of-9.

Banchero has scored 22 or more points in five of his past six games while going for at least five boards in 15 straight outings. He is good for five or more dimes in four of the past six and 17 of the past 21 outings. Go with the Over, and feel confident in doing so.

LeBron James Over 15.5 Rebounds + Assists (-111)

Why not lean upon “The King” in the late-night window? LeBron James just got done scorching the Kings for 31 points, 13 assists and five rebounds across 36 minutes on Wednesday in a 130-120 loss at Crypto.com Arena.

Earlier this season, on Nov. 15, James was good for 28 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds in a triple-double against Sacramento, also in a loss at home. In addition, James was good for 27 points, 15 rebounds and eight assists in an overtime loss on Oct. 29 in Sacramento.

If you don’t want to do the math, James is averaging a triple-double against the Kings this season, going for 28.7 points, 10.0 rebounds and 11.0 assists per game in three meetings against them. He should easily be able to hit this mark on Wednesday night.
