The MLS continues to grow in the right way. The talent that has graced the league over the past few years has improved drastically, with plenty of players making the move from Europe to play in the US. However, with the money that has been invested into the league, scouts, facilities and general standards can all be improved, putting MLS higher in the ranking within world football.

And perhaps nothing on planet football says progress like a well-run Premier League club enquiring about your services. That is what has happened at Inter Miami, with Brighton & Hove Albion said to be interested in Diego Gómez.

The Paraguayan football is, according to Eduardo Burgos of AS, catching the eye of the south coast side, who are set to table an offer for the midfielder. Gómez arrived at Inter Miami from Libertad in his native country in 2023, after having played 40 games for the club.

Since his move to MLS, he has shone in a role next to Lionel Messi, with the 21-year-old proving himself to be more than capable of sharing a pitch with the 8-time Ballon d’Or winner.
